The haunting of Ellen - third post

I have now read to page 104, and her are the summery.
Bella and Ellen took the old pistol with them to ask an old man at the railway station about it. Mr Carncross, the old man, looked at the pistol and he rubbed vigorously on the butt of the old pistol with a lump of wadding.  Then they could see somebody´s initials.  Mr Carncross thought about the initials and said that it must stand for John Duvalier. The Duvalier family had had several Johns, so the pistol must have come from any of them who lived a time ago, but one John Duvalier was still alive. When Bella and Ellen are going to leave Mr Carncross says that they have to look for the other pistol, because the pistol they had found was a dueling pistol and they come in pairs.

When they are going from the railway station Bella and Ellen starts to mess with each other and then they go different ways. Ellen goes back to Bon Vista, but on the way she meets Violet, one of the Mooney. They talk and decades to go swimming together.  At the same time Bella meets Paul Mooney, the oldest boy. They start to talk a lot and Bella decides that she likes him. She have an idée of that he likes her to, because otherwise he wouldn´t talk to her. And then he says that he think she is pretty.

Before Ellen was going swimming she went to the back house to change clothes. When she got there she went to the mirror to brush her hair and she felt something odd was happening. She put her hand to her face and the girl reflected in the mirror did the same… But the face in the mirror wasn´t Ellen´s. Someone else looked back at her from the glass, someone young, pale, crying…
Ellen, was crying to... and inside she was bewildered, lost, crowded... as thought someone else were crowding her out of her body.

When Ellen and Violet were going, they got three other Mooneys with them. And meanwhile they are gone Ellen talks to Violet about the things that have happened to her, and she says that she think she´s being haunted. While Ellen was bathing Violet came and said that Terence, one of the Mooney boys that was with them, had disappeared. They went looking for him, and when they did Ellen told Violet the story about Peadar´s Leap, where they were bathing. The story is about a man who jumped off the cliffs into the water to not be taken by the polis, and he drowned. The man was soon going to marry a girl from the town.  The girl got mad and sat by the cliffs all the time. One day she disappeared and people thought that she had jumped after him.  They found Terence by a cave and they also found a text in the granite rock. Ellen said that it was supposed to be a conversation between the man and the girl. The man said the first part and then the girl said the second part and also jumped in the water.
O come to me, beloved,
And stay here, by my side.
O come to me, beloved,
At the turning of the tide.
I'll come to you, beloved,
I'll stay by your side.
I´ll come to you, beloved,
At the turning of the tide
The same evening it was a firework in town so they all went there. Ellen and Violet went to see where the Duvalier family had lived. Bella and Paul went to look for the Mooney’s blue minibus, because it was stolen before they went to Bon Vista and Paul thought that he saw it yesterday. When Ellen and Violet got to the Duvalier’s house they heard a strange sound and Ellen said that it was Billy Catchpole´s pigs they have heard. Then they saw a blue minibus coming to the house, and a man came and said that they had to leave. Ellen and Violet went away and hid in some long grass, and they saw how two men were driving the pigs into the blue minibus. Ellen and Violet met Bella and Paul by the house and Paul faked that he´s a policeman. The two men put their hands in the air, and then the real polis came. This is what I think of the book:This week it hasn’t happened so much ghostly things in the book. It has just happened things that I don´t see relevant to the story, and it has been very boring to read this week.

I like the poem they found, it has come back many times in the story, maybe it´s relevant to the story. I think the poem is mysterious and sorrowful, and somehow I also think it´s beautiful.

The last thing I read was that the two men tried to steal some pigs, and honestly who tries to steel pigs??? I don´t know, but that make me think that the book maybe is set a time ago when people more commonly had pigs.

I look forward to next week when I hope that I get some answers on my questions of the book. Here are some of the questions I have, that I hope I get answers to:
What have the blue minibus with the story to do?
Who is the girl who tries to take contact with Ellen in the mirror?
Why has John Duvalier hid a pistol in the chimney?
