L.A Candy by Laruen Conrad

I’ve been reading a book called L.A Candy.
L.A Candy is about Jane Roberts and Scarlett Harps, two friends who together move to a little apartment in Los Angeles. Jane intern for an event planner and Scarlett is a freshman at U.S.C. Two ordinary girls, but their lives are about to change forever.
At a club they meet Trevor Lord, a TV producer who wants them to come for an audition for his new reality show.
The girls decide to go, curios as they are. A few days after the audition Trevor calls and tells the good news, Jane and Scarlett are going to star in L.A Candy, the new reality show. Jane and Scarlett can’t believe their luck. In an instant they get their own TV show, and fame is knocking at the door. But it’s not just fame, a bunch of new friends are also angling for a piece of the spotlight. They are after all in a city filled with people chasing their dreams.

L.A Candy is a lovely, girly and shallow book. It’s a book for teenagers and young women who likes to read about things that are close to real life, because even if you don’t live a Hollywood life, you’ll recognize the everyday- experiences in the book. That’s at least what I did.
L.A Candy is the first novel by Lauren Conrad. She has also written “Sweet little lies” and “Sugar and spice”. In my opinion you have to read the second and third book too.
I’ll end with giving L.A Candy 3.5 of 5 “flying books”.
