The Blood-and-Thunder Adventures on Hurricane Peak - first post

"The Blood-and-Thunder Adventures on Hurricane Peak"  by Margaret Mahy begins with that you get to know a little bit about the persons in the story. There is the villain, Sir Quincey Jodd-Sprocket, and Huxley and Zaza, two siblings that is a bit peculiar.
Jodd-Sprocket is a villain that tries to be an inventor, he gets around in a motorized wheelchair which has a lot of unnecessary and strange things like a cocktail cabinet and a rocket launcher.  I think he feels kind of lonely because he is paying a old lady to be his aunt. His business does not go too well so he decides to get back to being a villain again and he has got big plans.
Huxley and Zaza Hammond are the names of two siblings that spends the days by Huxley writing blood-thirsty stories and Zaza drawing the pictures for the stories. Huxley wants to write stories all the time and one day he feels like he has to write a story on his white bedroom wall. Their father gets so angry that he decides to send them to the Unexpected School on the top of Hurricane Peak.
Belladonna Doppler lives nearby and is an successful inventor and Jodd-Sprocket has decided, without her knowing him, that he will marry her so that she can work for him every day. He sends her a proposal with the mailman.
The Unexpected School is a strange school where everything is unexpected and they teach subjects like magic and such.
I think the book is a very odd and you can really tell that it is a book for children that are younger than me. I think the children and the villain will meet soon and maybe fight against each other.
